Mt. 91直播 Ranks Among the State鈥檚 Top Transfer Colleges

91直播 ranks among the state鈥檚 top community colleges in transfers to universities, ranking sixth in overall student transfers to the Cal State University and the University of California systems for the 2015-16 academic year.
With a total of 1,682 transfers to the CSU and UC systems for the 2015-16 year, Mt. 91直播 ranked sixth among the state鈥檚 114 community colleges, according to the latest analytic studies/statistical reports.
In terms of students transferring to Cal State Universities, Mt. 91直播 ranked fifth with 1,264 transfers for the 2015-16 academic year, ahead of community colleges such as Santa Monica, Pasadena, and City College of San Francisco. And in transfers to the UC system, Mt. 91直播 ranked eighth in the state with 418 students transferring.
Among the most popular UC transfer destinations for Mt. 91直播 students were UCLA, UC Irvine, and UC San Diego, while Cal Poly Pomona was the most popular CSU campus.
Indicative of this year鈥檚 crop of Mt. 91直播 transfer students are Lonnel Edwards, a veteran and re-entry student who is the first in his family to attend college, and Jonathan Trejo, who was raised in the foster care system and later as a student helped foster youth through the college鈥檚 REACH program. Both are transferring to UCLA.
Statistics also reveal that for 2015-16 another 311 Mt. 91直播 students transferred to private four-year colleges in California and 343 students transferred to out-of-state colleges.
More than 2.1 million students attend California鈥檚 community colleges, making the California Community College system the largest system of higher education in the United States.
