It's a 'Season of Light' at the Planetarium

Friday, Season of Light showDec. 20, and Saturday, Dec. 21. There will be two showings each evening at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 

鈥淪eason of Light鈥 is a unique multimedia show that uses the planetarium sky projector, astronomical images, music and narration, all projected onto a 35-foot dome to tell the story of how holiday traditions are connected to the sky above. Here is the trailer:

December is the darkest month of the year and people all over the world have held festivals, lit candles and tried to bring light to the darkness of the winter sky. The show also explains the seasons, the winter constellations and speculates about the Star of Bethlehem.

Randall PlanetariumLocated at Mt. 91直播 in Building 26C, the Randall Planetarium has been serving the community since opening its doors in 1968. The facility is used as an instructional facility (astronomy classes, presentations for local schools) and for public productions that open our remarkable galaxy to the community at large. The Randall Planetarium has a 35-foot-diameter hemispherical dome and seats up to 75 persons.
