Outcomes:
  • Students successfully completing the course will be able to assess current condition of clients with co-occurring disorders and identify most urgent needs
  • Identify appropriate interventions for persons with co-occurring disorders with respect to their cultural, sociopolitical experiences, gender identity, and other issues of diversity
  • Students successfully completing AD 6 will be able to describe the relationship between psychiatric disorders and substance abuse.
  • Students successfully completing AD 6 will be able to identify and assess the major psychiatric disorders that co-occur with substance use disorders.
