Student Learning Outcomes

• Students will demonstrate acquisition of new vocabulary in a course-embedded tests of either a combination of passive (no more than 50% of the words) and active masteries or active mastery alone.
• Students will accurately identify the main idea of a given text of level appropriate length and difficulty, demonstrating their understanding of the central theme or message conveyed.
