Spring 2026 CSU Transfer Application Timeline

Please review all university communication carefully - CSU campuses may request additional information. Deadlines and application requirements can vary by major and applicant type (e.g. international students, returning students, and military veterans).

    • July 28, 2025: Apply for your Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T/AS-T) if applicable


      *Important:
      if you are applying to CSU for spring 2026 and completing an AA-T or AS-T in summer 2025 and you have any other college transcripts and/or AP, IB, or CLEP exams, submit those to Mt. 91Ö±²¥â€™s Office of Admissions & Records by July 28 to help ensure accurate CSU e-verification of your degree. (This is only necessary if you have not already submitted the transcript(s) or test scores.)

    • August 1 – 31, 2025*: Submit CSU Application

      • View open CSUs and majors starting August 1 at . Some CSU campuses and majors do not accept applications for spring admission. 
      • Attend a and use to get started.
      • Fill out your application and visit us during drop-in hours at the Transfer Center or on Zoom to ask any questions before you submit.

      * This is the priority application filing period. Some campuses and majors may accept applications after the deadline. Deadlines may also vary for international students and veterans. 

    • August - September 2025: Include CSUs on your financial aid application

      If you have not already done so, submit your 2025-26
      or

      • 2023 income/tax information will be needed.
      • List all universities that you are applying to so that they can provide a financial aid estimate after your admission offer. You do not need to wait until you have been accepted.
    • September 2025 – January 2026: Check email and CSU portals frequently
      • Look out for emails about important deadlines and next steps.
      • Create a portal on the university websites when instructed. CSUs may request transcripts or additional information on your to do list.
    • September 2025: Complete supplemental applications

      Some campuses, such as CSULB and SJSU, require an additional application (deadlines vary). You will receive info about this by email.

    • September – October 2025: Receive CSU admission offers
      • Some campuses may send decisions earlier or later.
      • Check your email and CSU portals for admission decisions and application status.
    • Deadlines vary: Accept admission
      • Accept admission offer and pay the enrollment deposit (if required) to secure your spot at the CSU you choose to attend.
      • Follow next steps and meet all deadlines for transcripts, financial aid documents, orientation registration, and housing applications.
    • Submit official transcripts (deadlines vary)
      • When requested by each CSU, order official transcripts on the Mt. 91Ö±²¥ portal student self service menu (#19).
      • CSUs may request initial transcripts before or after the admission decision with deadlines throughout September - November.
      • You will also submit your final official transcript(s) after summer/fall 2025 and AP/IB/CLEP scores, if applicable.

      • If you have attended other colleges, you need to request transcripts directly from those schools even if they were submitted to Mt. 91Ö±²¥.
Application Checklist

Have these items available when you're ready to apply:

  • Unofficial transcripts - you’ll need to enter all the courses you’ve completed on your CSU application; those that are currently in progress; and any you plan to take. Official transcripts will be requested by campuses as needed.
  • Your Social Security number, if you have one.
  • Your citizenship status (or visa information for international students)
  • A method of payment for the $70 application fee (per campus) - you can pay the application fee by credit card. The application will determine your eligibility for a fee waiver for up to four CSU campuses.
  • 2023 annual income - your parents’ if you are a dependent; your income if you are independent.
  • Additional information (only if you are applying to ) - your parents' employment background and contact information for two individuals who will submit recommendations. You will also need to respond to some autobiographical questions.
